Political Philosophy

In an attempt to unite my activism involvement with academia, I got sucked into the Topics in Critical Social Theory class, wonderfully taught by Prof. Sally Haslanger in the MIT Dept. of Linguistics and Philosophy. As part of the requirements for the class, we wrote a term paper encompassing the subject matter discussed in class. My paper focuses on how intersectional thinking is required to work towards the end of oppressive structures that are ideologically racist, ableist, patriarchal, capitalist, etc. Additionally, a paradigm shift in the collective consciousness of the people is needed, in which we accept that the current systems reproduce ideology and are structured to oppress and divide the people. Ruptural transformations are then needed to uproot, not reform, structures that are built to sustain oppression.

Building STEM Cells

STEM Cells is a website by me and my labmate, Mit Kotak, created with the purpose of supporting undergraduate STEM students through graduate, research, and diversity-equity-inclusion (DEI) resources!

Featured Articles

I didn't have "articles written about me" on my 2022 bingo card but I'm very honored to be featured by these amazing interviewers!

Teehee Haha

• My very first year at MIT, I went to the Stata Winterfest, and started vibing to the music, to which a random older man started vibing with me. After he left, I turned to my friends and said, "Wow! That old guy was so nice!" to which they both responded, "That old guy is the President of MIT".

• For three halloweens in a row, I went as a grumpy old professor.
• I am that friend that loves to collect random things on walks and hikes :D
• In undergrad, there were two classes I was borderline failing, and then forced myself to pull 100 on the final exam just to pass them (I highly advise against doing this)
• I didn't get diagnosed with ADHD until I was an adult-- suddenly all the high energy, struggling to pay attention, rapid cycling of new hobbies and interests, and lack of spacial awareness made sense
